The Transfiguration

I led a service and preached at the wonderful Brough Sowerby. A small dales chapel.

Why use 2 readings...when you can use 3! The Gospel is alive. I love that I was advised in a service some months ago that I shouldn't choose 2 readings because I felt obliged to. It was said in such a way that 1 will suffice. Ha!

From Moses to Luke to Paul, the connecting threads were irresistible and it was well received.

Lovely warmth of fellowship at the end of the service. I was joined by another LP who I'd heard at Ravenstondale, she was very moved.

It was a 'trad' service - because, that's what fed their souls. That's ok.

King of Kings doesn't work with a congregation of 6. 😆.

A little post-service, evening reflection: one must be so, so careful at the pulpit; Our words, actions, songs and message is food for the souls of many. We must be so, so careful. (Worth repeating!).
