Superintendent Prep, Training Options, Margie

I prepped for a meeting with the Circuit's Superintendent this week. Anticipating discussion re: C2 Candidating Context Form:

Please do not make this application unless you have first met with your Superintendent Minister and your Chair of District to discuss your calling to an already identified circuit or district or to a specific context

Much of the guidance talks about how early engagement (and submission) of this form is required. It's mentioned in G1.1, G.9, G.10, D.4 and more and has to be done in agreement with the District.

Prep done but it lead to a conversation with Margie re: her job and my training routes.  CBLP looks attractive because of the speed in which active ministry begins, BUT it would be a slower route to proper station going compared to full time - which essentially looks like 5 terms (over two years). We know school terms - they’re short, they fly...It’s preferable to go Full Time.

Margie sees the drop in salary and the move to grant based income for a short while.  She’s mentioned selling the house - I’m encouraging her to hold firm - there are lots of options when sitting on the equity. We really have been blessed to even consider this seriously.
