C2...

I received a somewhat mysterious email from our Superintendent re: C2. I think there's been a misunderstanding along the way with what I mean by 'local context'. I'm thinking this.

I've sent the draft form to a few folk (as suggested in the guidance) and wait to hear...will nudge often. It can't be included in the main bundle unless it's been agreed. I wrote about this here.

I said in my draft:

I am very aware of the itinerant nature, requirements and benefits of ordained Methodist ministry, and I submit this application in the understanding that initial probationary stationing is not guaranteed (or indeed likely) and circumstances may change during training.  

However, with the merging of several districts to form the NWED (September 2024) and several Circuits merging to form the Cumbria Circuit (September 2025), I hope that this application may be considered in light of the benefits such enlarged structures may bring to support a probationer being stationed in the area identified.

I expect it might not end up being included in the main bundle. I wonder if it's going to ruffle too many feathers.
