3 Services, 20 hymns. Outstanding.
I started the day with the family at Cornerstone, and nervously paced around the House for 30 minutes before setting off to Garsdale Low Smith for an 'assessed service'. Wow. The first Sunday of Lent, I'm not exactly short of material! I Was expecting 6 or so. Circa. 20 were in the congregation and the singing was incredible. I wasn't sure my voice was going to hold up. The organist was class! I'll write a note of thanks.
Feedback from the congregation was utterly affirming.
Then off to Bentham for the rescheduled 'youth' meeting. What a contrast in service type. And yet the pattern of challenge and reassurance as the key takeaways appears to work at both.
Vic led the Bentham gathering so skilfully and naturally. It was so nice to see some of the family there and the worship was joyful and energetic.
What a day. What a privilege.
